More About The Course

Welcome to the study of elementary Norwegian! The ambition of this course is to familiarize you with the basics of the Norwegian language. Our primary objectives are to enable and develop conversational and written abilities in Norwegian, through oral and written exercises based on the lessons in our textbook Sett i gang – an introductory Norwegian curriculum. In addition, we shall read and listen to online sample texts, watch clips of Norwegian programs online and expand on homework exercises. The secondary objectives are to support our knowledge of the Norwegian language by knowledge of Norwegian history and culture, both past and present, from a national as well as global perspective.
