Asian American Communities and Race Relations, ASAMST W20AC
This course will be a survey of contemporary issues affecting the Asian American community. We will look at the different theories that explain the current status of Asian Americans and the interrelationship between the Asian American community, nation, and world. The course will focus on the issue of race relations, the commonalities and differences between Asian Americans and other race and ethnic groups.

More About The Course
This course is an online class. We do not meet regularly on campus for lecture, and only meet in person for the Midterm Exam and Final Exam. Students not near UC Berkeley campus will take these exams at a pre-arranged location. Discussion sections will meet live online at an assigned section time. Instructor and GSI office hours will be held on UC Berkeley campus or online for students in other locations.
