INTRO HGHR ED:CRNT ISS/DBTS, EDUC 051
4 Units, Lecture, 3 hours; discussion, 1 hour. Prerequisite(s): none. Introduces critical issues confronting contemporary U.S. higher education. Focuses on three major themes: debates over the purpose of higher education; the context and main challenges institutions and students currently face; and how the current environment is likely to shape the future of higher education.
